Artist's Comments

Kilbourne and Jay, since their meeting, have frequently been at odds with one another, and it's usually over the same thing: Amanda. After a while, their dislikes of one another branched out, egos flaring against egos. Unfortunately for Kilbourne, Jay's braggings are very well backed up, leaving Kilbourne in defeat simply because he lacked the same fighting experiences as Jay, despite being a Bounty Hunter.
In this, their quarrels went a little too far, and Jay is only a moments hesitation away from pulling the trigger and beridding himself from his over-confident rival.
...That's not to say that they are each others' only rivals, but a strong one nevertheless.

Painter 7 through and through. Lately I've been experimenting, but this is fairly old.

....Man, does time ever fly.

you and your digital skills through and through! I especially like Kilbourne, he looks defeated but still has an air of confidence. He seems unafraid even defenseless with a gun point blank range from him. I dont really know why but Jay's forearm looks odd to me, like its a bit too muscular on one side. I still greatly enjoy the pic though, I must say your coloring and backrounds look as good as ever, and this is an older piece!

Mind blowing. I love the scene and the tone it conveys. Your characters body language and expressions always show such emotion.

"ALWAYS pull the trigger, because its just a plain fact in love and war, that if you don't shoot him first, he's most likely going to do it for you."

-Sergeant (ret.) Hathcock, USMC-

Well, let's see...where do I begin.

Hues: Fucking amazing, some serious skill was put into them, they blend into one another perfectly.
Tones: Read above.
Linework: Fits perfectly.
Lighting: Fits the "moment of decision" theme very nicely.
Anatomy: Can't find anything wrong with it.

Very very good.

Nothing like a strong rivalry to deepen the plot. Somehow, I can see fangirls in the future making yaoi pics of these two despite the fact that it would be totally OOC for either of them. Curse them.

You seem to have Painter 7 quite under your thumb, as well.

This is an amazing scene. I love the dark overtones and the way their bitter rivalry. I can understand why they feel the way they do towards eachother. Its just a shame Amanda is caught in the middle of thier conflict.
